From dusk to dawn by *musicfan:iconmusicfan:

Do they amaze you?
twinkling in endless splendor
they shine for all eternity,
grace and peace..
harmlessly watching from above
never moving never caring,
just watching...
Piercing the vast darkness in torrents of beaded lights.
a calm haven for soul searchers.
Twilight dusk to the morning rise,
they break down the veil of darkness.
the portectors of the ancient world
Gods descending to give us blessing
cleansing the heart and spirit
channeling peace throughout the soul.
purifying and dismantling the surrounding chaos...
just let go, of all.. of everything...
let serenity enshroud the mind
lie and watch the world pass,
gaze at the meloncholy moon
and forever bask in the twilight's grace
starshine....

It's so...awe inspiring...to go out and just watch the stars on a clear night......just imagining the endless expanse they fill...it's nice to lose yourself doing that sometimes on clear nights....just watching the stars.....i love how you captured the...well...i guess you could say the magic of the night sky with this poem....
:iconmusicfan:
thank you so much!

Always been fascinated with astronomy since I was a kid. Forgive the shameless plug, but this came to mind when I was reading it: [link] . I find the older I get, the more I enjoy seeing the beauty, and sometimes simplicity in things. Sometimes it's good just to sit and take in the surroundings. :)

that is completely understandable because as you get older you become more aware of the beauty in life because you slow down.. you aren't rushing everything so you are actually able to see everything

The dreamy way in which you depicted them in the beginning was really nice, but what i love even more is how you break up the calm of those lines with verses like "dismantling the chaos". I've been trying to write poetry but i never seem to get them to feel alive. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but good poems always seem to bring out the strongest emotions in me.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of poetry.
